Excerpt from Armstrong Nurseries, 1910In the year 1889 the Armstrong Nurseries took inception in a small way on a town lot in the City of Ontario, aiming to supply in a modest way merely a local demand for choice trees and plants. From that date on to the present time the business has sustained a robust development along conservative lines, at all times producing only good stock and selling it direct to planters at reasonable prices, In this connection we are proud to say that this business has experienced a healthy growth. At present over one hundred and forty acres are devoted to the growing of nursery stock. Our constant aim is to supply reliable stock direct from our nurseries to the growers, thus eliminating the middleman and his profit, thereby giving the custo mer full value and allowing a reasonable profit.
