November is Native American History Month!
Since the first federally implemented Thanksgiving in 1789, November has revolved (and continues to revolve) around a holiday that sanitizes and obfuscates the violent colonial roots of the American State. 2021 is only the second year in this nation’s history for Native American History Month to be recognized—an impossibly small gesture towards the essential project of centering the voices, histories, and interventions of the people indigenous to this land. We hope this collection can serve as a jumping-off point for study and a catalyst towards material support for Indigenous peoples.
