Telling Their Stories: The Problems and Promise of Writing about Marginalized People

Join Brookline Booksmith and the Boston Authors Club for an evening in which three local writers discuss their work telling stories of people whose stories aren't usually told.

Julie Dobrow is Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at Tufts University and author of After Emily: Two Remarkable Women and the Legacy of America's Greatest Poet. Dobrow is president of the Boston Authors Club.

Nandini Bajpai is the author of A Match Made in Mehendi, Red Turban White Horse and other books for teens and children. In addition to being an author, Bajpai has been a bookseller, systems analyst and TedX organizer. She is on the board of the Boston Authors Club.

Christina Thompson is editor of the Harvard Review. Her most recent book, Sea People: The Puzzle of Polynesia, chronicles how indigenous people colonized islands in the world's largest ocean.
